"I have to say that those cards are gold! My son loves them❤️❤️. We started to read them and talk about every virtue and open a conversation how it is important to have those spiritual qualities on us to be a better human being. He is almost a 9 years old, so perfect for his age."
This is a fantastic resource! I am a SENCO in a primary school and have started using it regularly in my weekly small group social club interventions. It is a great discussion starter around character strengths and when each is needed. The animal illustrations are beautiful and are a lovely hook into exploring each virtue. The definition and examples on the back give examples of scenarios which are really helpful too. There is a useful small book with suggestions of ways the cards can be used i.e. treasure hunt leading to discussion. The cards can be used flexibly by introducing a few virtues at a time or focus on one word to support with a particular need. These cards are my new favourite resource!
I bought these cards for my daughter and her two children. They genuinely enjoy choosing and talking about the different virtues each day, and it has opened up lovely conversations at home about kindness, patience, honesty and gratitude. My daughter says the cards are helping the children think more about their behaviour and how they treat each other, which is so lovely to hear. A beautiful idea for families and a really meaningful gift. We are very pleased with them so far.
